In Ayurveda, a holistic system practiced in India for thousands of years, Butterfly Pea Flower tea is called Anchan tea. It is used in devotional ceremonies to represent protection, love, and peace. It is associated with the powerful Hindu goddess named Aparajita (whose name means "the unconquered"). In addition to its spiritual significance, Butterfly Pea Flower is packed with antioxidants (such as anthocyanin) and pigments that allow it to naturally color food and drinks.
