Copper Cup Hammered 250 ML

These unique copper cups are handmade in India. The cup has a hammered decoration. Each cup is handmade and may therefore differ slightly from the photo. When using the cup for the first time, we recommend rinsing it a few times. Copper cups (tamba) have been made and used in India for over 200 years. According to ancient Indian Ayurveda, drinking water from a copper cup helps to balance the three energies that circulate through the human body, the Doshas (Vata - air element, Kapha - water element and Pitta - fire element). These cups are only suitable for water. Not for milk, citrus and acidic liquids.

Copper discolours over time due to oxidation. The material can also show 'spots'. These are both natural properties of copper and have no negative effect on drinking from a copper cup like this. This will mainly occur on the inside. The cups are made of pure copper (99.6%). The outer layer is lightly varnished. The inside is 100% copper. The cups can also have irregularities, which is part of the natural properties of copper. Discolouration can be seen in dark spots / streaks on the inside. It can also become green(ish). These cups are only suitable for water. Not for milk, citrus and acidic liquids.

Cleaning and maintenance instructions
• Do not wash in the dishwasher
• Clean with natural soap, soft sponge and room temperature water
• To make the copper shine use lemon wedges! Only the outside.
• Do not expose to direct sunlight
